A flowy, LA-inspired identity with a punch
Liia is a danish singer-song writer who’d just been signed to Copenhagen Records when they approached Evil Mambo for a visual identity. The brief for an assignment like that is always simple: Make it an extension of the music and the artist herself.
Combining softness and punch and femininity and flow in four letters was achieved by using the unusual spelling of the artist’s name as an opportunity for visual storytelling. The “i”s were replaced with storytelling elements where possible and the flow was created in the final logo by uniting the four letters in rounded square.
